Our letterhead to the right, is based on the panoramic picture of Donner Summit above. From left to right in the picture you can see Chinese Wall, built by the Chinese rail workers to fill in an area for the transcontinental train track; the rail tunnel for the first transcontinental railroad; Rainbow Bridge (see the description on our home page); and Mt. Stephens, named for leader of the first wagon train over the Sierra.

Incidentally, The Stephens Party included 17 year old Moses Schallenburger. He became sick during journey and was left at Donner Lake alone for the winter. Schallenburger Ridge is named for him. The first vehicle theft occurred then and there as well but that's a different story.
