Timothy H. O'Sullivan was a photographer for the Geological Exploration of the Fortieth Parallel, the first governmental survey of the American West. It was also called the King Survey, for Clarence King, U. S. geologist. This view is shot from just above the Eastern end of Tunnel 6.
