Alfred A Hart 258 - Castle Peak from Railroad above Donner Lake This view from near Tunnel Eleven looks much the same today as it did in the 1860's, with a few exceptions - Highway 40 and Interstate 80 didn't exist then. The scars from their construction are very evident today. As always, Castle Peak seems to stand guard over Donner Pass.
